Functional down to the last detail, this space reflects a couple’s cool aesthetic while providing them with flow, color, and vibrancy. This client contacted CBID to remodel their condo. Dated, dark, and not representative of who they are, they wanted a home that allowed them to peacefully run their businesses while reflecting their tastes. Intentional color and design work together to provide functional flow in every room. We converted a bedroom to an office and created a work niche in the main living space. We also fully updated the kitchen, dining, and living rooms, designed a sofa area for lounging, expanded the foyer, and renovated a primary bedroom and bathroom. We removed fixtures and features that weighed the space down, opening it up with distinct character. A round dining room table crafted by Raleigh Reclaimed offers a place to eat and hold meetings. Natural light pours into the space with dramatic impact. Custom millwork, an inviting entryway, and crisp, frosted glass represent a few of the many tailored details definitive of how this couple lives and who they are.

As with all of our projects, we couldn’t have done it without the artisans and local collaborators, including Staresina Design Works, Kitchen and Bath Galleries, Chapel Hill, Finish Pros Upholstery, Rob Perry of Walltech, American Leather Upholstery, Brittany Morgan of Traditions in Tile, Brier Creek, and our dedicated CBID team.
