With over 20 years of experience spanning retail, corporate, and residential design, Cheryl has honed her expertise across architectural firms, design agencies, and freelance groups. She transforms dreams and aspirations into cohesive details and functional beauty that truly make a house a home.
Cheryl is a proud mom to her grown son, Ben, stepmom to Staci and Beth, and Cici to their collective six. On the weekends, Cheryl loves exercising, going for long walks, spending time with family and friends, and hitting the Farmer’s Market for fresh, local finds.

Faith Rennells
INTERIOR DESIGNER
A recent graduate from the CIDA-Accredited Interior Design Program at Western Carolina, Faith brings both design and architectural skills to our CBID collaborations.
Her talent and meticulous attention to detail are a huge asset to our team. Faith has exceptional technical skills and is adept at using Revit and Enscape for 3D renderings, floor planning, and other design details that make all the difference.
Known for an exceptional eye for color (she can tell her eggshell from her ecru in her sleep), Faith listens carefully to your needs and is skilled at the art of marrying beauty and function for spaces uniquely attuned to your lifestyle.
In her free time, Faith can be found reading, drawing, making blankets for a local animal rescue, or trapped under her cat, Luka.
Yan Huang
Architectural Designer
Yan is an architectural designer specializing in residential design. She holds a B.A. in Architecture with Honors and a Master of Architecture from UC Berkeley, where she received several recognitions and awards. During her graduate studies, she participated in an international architectural competition where she and her team secured first place. The winning project, Nest We Grow, was constructed in Hokkaido, Japan, and has since received multiple professional accolades.
Yan credits her artistic interests to her multicultural upbringing and diverse life and travel experiences. Born in China, raised in various states across the US, and today residing in the UK, she’s been exposed to a wide range of cultures, architectural styles, and artistic traditions, which have profoundly shaped her design philosophy and approach to architecture and spatial design.
Yan’s team-oriented mindset and meticulous attention to detail further enhance her ability to collaborate effectively, creating innovative and meaningful designs that resonate with diverse audiences.
Megan Granda
Communications & Business Development Manager
Megan loves surfaces. She pays attention to the expressive nature of light, color, and texture and has spent approximately 30 years looking, learning, and thinking about such things. She also loves exploring how humans and other creatures construct their dwellings and private spaces.
Megan enjoys methodical, predictable routines of tight operational processes. After 20+ years in strategic planning, systems, and business management, she’s skilled in operations, finance, and research productivity.
CBID is a dream job, where Megan’s various passions for art and operations come together. Megan works behind the scenes, supporting her brilliant colleagues, collaborators, and mostly, you.
When not working, Megan can be found outside, alongside her husband, creating beautiful, nourishing habitats for a myriad of creatures using dirt, water, light, and other materials from the natural world.
Erin Trom
operations & Logistics Manager
Detail-oriented, creative, and next-level organized, Erin keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes at CBID. She’s known for staving off headaches before they even happen and keeping everyone in the loop with clear communication and a positive, collaborative spirit.
Having grown up in the Midwest, Erin’s now lived in North Carolina for over 30 years. After years of experience in the Home Staging industry, Erin joined the CBID team and loves bringing her talents and passions to life through her work.
Erin lives in Raleigh with her husband and their English Golden Retriever, Murphy. She’s the proud mother of two grown sons. For fun, Erin enjoys being outdoors, traveling to new places (national parks being a favorite destination), and reading historical fiction.
